Wondering if there is enough interest to start a new forum topic for rock/gem collecting and hunting.
I dont know much about the subject but am very interested. Maybe we could go on trips to hunt gems/minerals etc. |

I'm game for rock hounding. You can combine hiking, rock hounding and camping all in the same trip. I need to expand my collection of cool rocks.
I used to have a rock tumbler, I need to aquire one again.

I'd be interested in going on a few excursions. If there's a new topic to be had, how about Geology, Mining and Rockhounding? Eventually Caving may need it's own too?
What do y'all think?

I've done a bunch of rock hounding. Rock hounding has taken me to many interesting places. I do a lot of cross country and I've always got my eye open for interesting rocks. I used to own a lapidary shop (home shop) and I still have many many interesting peices. _________________ "Surely all God's people, however serious or savage, great or small, like to play. I am in, don’t know much out the rocks but love to look and learn. My vote would be for a category Rockhounding. _________________ Tony |

Very kewl!! I love rocks! Would like to know more about where to find them. I think there is an Arizona Gem and Mineral Society down town somewhere in Phx. that has regular meetings, trips, etc. I had the info, but lost it. |
