Cities in the Wilderness: A New Vision of Land Use in America by Bruce Babbitt.

Former Interior Secretary and Governor of Arizona and native son, Bruce Babbitt has written a smart and insightful commentary on how we live on our land and what we might do to make it better. I sure like the way he writes. I't be easy for him to fall into the usual whiner-enviro mode but he takes a higher road (or trail) and offers some good thoughts about land-use reform and some telling stories of back room politics in DC. Makes me sorta wish he'd run for Governor again.
