I rode a portion of the Great Western Trail Tonto National Forest Road 11) on a mtn. bike last week. I visited during the week and I was able to observe javelina. I parked at Mesquite wash just west of Arizona 87 visited Sycamore Creek along side of Tonto National Forest road 160. The area gets a lot of traffic on the weekend, suggest a visit during the week if possible.
