From the Music Genome Project (which has an excellent music blog), we get this nifty little program: Pandora

Quote:
Ever since we started the Music Genome Project, our friends would ask:

Can you help me discover more music that I'll like?

Those questions often evolved into great conversations. Each friend told us their favorite artists and songs, explored the music we suggested, gave us feedback, and we in turn made new suggestions. Everybody started joking that we were now their personal DJs.

We created Pandora so that we can have that same kind of conversation with you.

It essentially goes through their database and finds songs and artists that others have liked/recommended from their listening tastes and makes a "radio station" based on those preferences. Pretty cool.

It's taking longer than expected to figure out the perfect song to play next.

They don't have much of the music I requested I guess.

Here's a few that oughta be right up your alley and around your block!

All I Want From You (Is Away)

All the Gals that Turn Me On Turn Me Down

At the Gas Station of Love, I Got the Self Service Pump

Come out of the Wheatfield Nellie, You're Going Against the Grain

Don't Chop Any Wood Mother, I'm Comin' in With a Load!

Get Off The Stove,Grandma, You're Too Old To Ride The Range

I Bought the Shoes that Just Walked Out on Me

I Flushed You From The Toilets Of My Heart

I Want a Beer as Cold as My Ex-Wife's Heart

Wanna Be A Blue Light Special In The K Mart Of Your Heart

I Wouldn't Take Her To A Dawg Fight, Cause I'm Afraid She'd Win

If I Can't Be Number One In Your Life, Then Number Two On You

I Would Kiss You Through the Screendoor but It'd Strain Our Love Rolling Eyes

OK It came up with a song by The Meat Puppets for me....I am thinking they are not taking into consideration lyrical content.....I told it I liked Todd Agnew.....

I searched for Third Day and got Bruce Cockburn, then Jars of Clay and finally, Third Day.
