http://www.javette.com/home.html I got a sample of these in the mail yesterday only five days after I called and asked for one. I tried it this morning and I will be forever a life time customer. It makes a perfect ten oz cup of coffee and the weight is minuscule! No longer will I have to search for the perfect contraption to lug around in my back pack to have a good cup of coffee in the morning. Coffee lovers take note! _________________ ~~~Diane~~~

Tracy! I ordered some this morning. You are welcome to try some of mine! If you like them then you can order some too! These will be perfect for the Royal Arch Loop hike! Less weight less bulk! Now we need to find a good way to carry our creamer! _________________ ~~~Diane~~~

That stuff is cool!
This past weekend at Havasupai, we used the Folger's tea bag style coffee (not freeze-dried!), and they worked like a charm. Tasted pretty good too, especially with a little french vanilla powdered creamer stuff in it. |

I have been using the Folger's tea bag style for years, and yes they are better than nothing but, I would love to find something better. Diane have you tried both? If so how would you say they compare? _________________ Tony |

I's like to try that, but ultimately I think I like the sounds of cowboy coffee better. We'll have to see... _________________ Cogito ergo ambulo cum sacculo

Yes, I have tried both and I can truthfully say that the Javette wins hands down! I really like it. You can amke it as stron as you like it depending on what ratio you use coffee to water....it weighs next to nothing and you have every thing you need right there in one little packet the size of a katcup packet. The taste is better than any thing I have tried for the trail. _________________ ~~~Diane~~~

Coffee was a problem?
Being a non-coffee I didn't know. Now a 12 pack of Diet Coke, that is a problem. _________________ The bear went over the mountain to see what he could see. |

I've tried Javette and thought it was pretty good. But I have to swear by my lexan Javapress. It weighs 9 oz and makes a great cup of coffee! You can also store the coffee in snack sized ziploc and put that into the container for backpacking.

I'm with Trishness. I have a java press and it makes a great cup of backcountry coffee. If I'm going for just an overnighter I''ll put the grounds in it before I leave. No packaging. _________________ Good people... drink good beer.

Say, I'd like to have a little coffe. You got some? What you kind got? Any kind of coffee is good. I just want some to drink. You must have some brewing. I ain't desperate or nothing like that. Don't think I'm begging. I'm just asking here. No pressure. I just want to drink a cup of joe. Wondering if you had some maybe. No big deal. |

Well, just like other folks' beer taste better than mine, other folks' coffee tastes better than something I had to pay for outta my own pocket _________________ John Richardson and Richie Rich, El Perro de Playero
