From the Music Genome Project (which has an excellent music blog), we get this nifty little program: Pandora
Quote: |
Ever since we started the Music Genome Project, our friends would ask:
Can you help me discover more music that I'll like?
Those questions often evolved into great conversations. Each friend told us their favorite artists and songs, explored the music we suggested, gave us feedback, and we in turn made new suggestions. Everybody started joking that we were now their personal DJs.
We created Pandora so that we can have that same kind of conversation with you. |
It essentially goes through their database and finds songs and artists that others have liked/recommended from their listening tastes and makes a "radio station" based on those preferences. Pretty cool. _________________ "Only small minds want always to be right."

It's taking longer than expected to figure out the perfect song to play next. |
They don't have much of the music I requested I guess.

Well, didn't wanna do religious music. But glad to see you are into the gospel redneck thingy; figure you're a closet redneck! _________________ John Richardson and Richie Rich, El Perro de Playero

OK It came up with a song by The Meat Puppets for me....I am thinking they are not taking into consideration lyrical content.....I told it I liked Todd Agnew..... _________________ ~~~Diane~~~
