In my opinion, get all your MH gear ASAP!!! _________________ "In the first place you can't see anything from a car; you've got to get out of the goddamned contraption and walk, better yet crawl, on hands and knees...When traces of blood begin to mark your trail you'll see something, maybe."

I hope Columbia does not downgrade Mountain Hardware to their level. Hope they maintain it as a highend line of product. I have mountain hardware gear & I love the utility features on them a whole lot! It is spendy...ouch...but then they last foreever & they get used too-- if you like what you have instead of becoming garage ornaments! _________________ Photos: http://www.pbase.com/desertgirl/galleries

Ditto. I have a Columbia winter jacket that unzips into a lite weight vest. Excellent! _________________ "IRONMAN" cometh, hiketh, destroyeth |

Same here - we sell alot of Columbia clothes at Popular, and they pretty much rock! I love their trail pants - been wearing them for years - and the GRT stuff is well built for trail or casual wear. |

Funny, I just picked up the REI Travel Down with my dividend too. I really like the 1.5 lbs. part of it so far and as I'm a warm sleeper, the temp rating shouldn't be a problem. I need a definitive field test tho...

I bought one last month, very compact, earth tone color. I have used int on a couple of night hikes to nap for a couple of hours. |
