Here Ya Go!
Taffy Apple Salad
Ingredients:
4 cups deiced apples (3-4 large apples)
˝ cup sugar
1 tablespoon flour
8 ounces crushed pineapple (drain & save juice)
8 ounces Cool Whip
1 egg
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 cup salted peanuts
1. Mix flour, sugar, pineapple juice, egg and vinegar in small saucepan. Cook over medium heat until thick. Refrigerate until cold.
2. Cut up apples in large bowl. Fold in cooled mixture, Cool Whip and crushed pineapple.
3. Refrigerate several hours before serving.
4. Right before serving, add peanuts. |

Thanks to both of you guys! Doug, tell your wife it is good. My SO wanted to bring something for Easter and she remembered this from the Christmas Shindig. It is worth the effort, very delicious.

Now that I've seen the recipe, I'm relieved. I was afraid there'd be okra in it! This sounds really good. Just be sure and deice those apples really well, I bet they're pretty tough to eat frozen. _________________ [/size] |
