Eye balling the water level in the pool, it looks like between 1 and 2 inches in east mesa.
9 more inches and we are out of the drought!

Rain? What the heck. It can stop raining and snowing here already! God. I can't wait to see the sun again! A nice steady 5 degrees out all week with snow and rain out the wazoo. We've already got 5.97 inches of rain and thats more than enough. April and May cannot come soon enough! Shocked

Do you guys know that SRP shut down Roosevelt Dam. No water in the lake. No water coming thru the dam.

Mrs Mike & I took my sister out Apache Trail all the way to Roosevelt Dam 2 weekends ago. I was amazed at how low the lake was. I had last seen it 2 years ago on a trip to Reavis Falls, the difference in the lake level was huge!

According to the SRP guy I heard this from, it hasn't been this bad in 25+ years...possibility exists that the more of the Salt River lakes could dry if the drought doesn't curtail...

Bad thing is, most of what I've seen has just been drizzle over the last couple of days. We could use a good 2 or 3 day soaking Yes I was in a pretty good downpour this afternoon, but it only lasted about 3 minutes. That will help to green up the foothills and the desert around us, but won't help to relieve the drought. Hopefully, it will rain like crazy tomorrow: but not enough to blow out the Reavis trip for you guys this weekend!

I don't have a rain gauge, but I put a bucket out that would catch the rain. A little wider at the top, but still have 4-1/2 inches in it, so figure 3" of rain most likely. It poured here for a long time very early yesterday morning and again last night.

Looks like the mountains in the high country is getting the snow it needs. hopefully the snowbowl will be opening soon again. I know yesterday about 4:00 there was about 12-14 inches of snow reported at the snowbowl. hope this keeps up for a while and maybe the forests wont get closed this summer.

I sure have been enjoying the rain here. It's nice to see it rain for such a countinious time.
