A good foliant applied herbicide such as Roundup will kill the present living invaders if you don't want to pull them out by hand or have too many. Mix a drop or two of soap in the mix to help make it stick to the leaves. Remember, a good herbicide will take a few days to begin to fully kill the offenders. Spray on a non-windy day so as not to get drift onto wanted plants.
To keep them from coming back, use a pre-emergent spray from a hose end sprayer according to manufacturer's directions.
Herbicides are leaf applied and kill living plants, pre-emergents are soil applied and prevent seeds from sprouting.
Good luck with your weed killing.
