|
|
A little get-together to exercise our trigger fingers and try out a few different flavors of hardware.
We will be meeting at Shooter's World on 28th ave. one block South of Indian School Rd.
http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?country=US&address=3828+North+28th+Ave&city=Phoenix&state=AZ&zipcode=85017&homesubmit.x=37&homesubmit.y=14
The time to meet is 12:00pm on Saturday the 31st of July.
There will be plenty of handguns to try, so rental shouldn't have to enter the equation. I believe Hooli mentioned it was $12/hr for lane rental. We'll see how that pans out.
Obviously we won't all be shooting at once. Hooli has gratiously donated 6 one hour coupons to the mix.
Please respond to this as we are looking for a preliminary head count.
So far:
Me
Hooli
GTG
Randy
Matt Gilbert
Davis2001R6
Daddee
Kristyn?
jmzblond?
azhiker96 and Deanda
If you have any questions, 'shoot' me a PM.

Everyone inside the range MUST have ear and eye protection. If you wear glasses that sufficient for the eyes; eye and ear protection can be rented at Shooter's world. _________________ John Richardson and Richie Rich, El Perro de Playero

I'm in too. Remember, not only do you need eyes and ears, you need a state ID or DL as well.
So far this seems to be a guy only thing, ladies are welcome too.
HIG, if we call ahead I think we can reserve a section of the range. Long guns are allowed in the far north section of the range, tote them on in Randy, I'll grab Mickey's 30.06 and bring it. My BB gun is pretty fun too.

paintninaz, Linda is the same. She has no particular problem with them but will not hold one or shoot one. That is the biggest reason I have been so lax in keeping up on my marksmanship.
Just remember guys, a quote from some Asian archer applies with what you are doing as well. To paraphrase; In truth, the target is yourself
I bet Daddee could find the actual quote but you get the significance. You really aren't trying to hit the target center out there. You are trying to find inside yourself what it takes to make the projectile fly straight into that center.
Teach the guys who are just starting out the safety aspects first and then teach them the fine mechanics of it all. If you hold the piece just a little tighter or even slightly different in any way the impact point is compromised. Until you understand that, things can be a bit frustrating for the beginning shooter. _________________ Seize from every moment its unique novelty and do not prepare your joys

Glenn, we'd all love it if you could show up as well.

I'm out. I really wanted to make this since I love trap, skeet and target (I don't hunt). But an old friend wants to do another birthday, Flatiron to the Ridgeline, etc. He's a blackbelt and I've trained with him, so I can't pass up an opportunity to make him hurt on Siphon Draw, hah-ha! |

Is there an age limit here? My younger daughter would love to go. She enjoys every chance she gets to show off her skills. |
