Oooooooo, we should have a birthday section here.
This could be so much fun, one big birthday celebration after another!
Ice cream, brownies, chocolate, yum! Scotch, fat tires, umm ok I got carried away. Oh yeah, mine's in June Just incase you were wondering.

Hey Sheri, Dave's bday is this coming Friday the 23rd. Sounds like you should be in charge of the festivities!! |
Hmmm, after seeing his poses from the shin-dig, he qualifies as a cabana boy! Tracy is working on the ad for that. Seems HIG is missing in action or on strike or "what-ever" lol!!

Well, you're our kinda party girl, Sheri, so get to it!! We can make it a b.y.o.whatever party, string up hammocks, put little umbrellas in the drinks, pig out on junk food... After all, he said the only thing he wants for his bday is a stress-free weekend!! _________________ Blond, James Blond... double "O", uh oh!!

I'M working on the cabana boy ad? I thought YOU were! ...well, we had better get moving on it before that "strike" takes effect, or we may be fixing our own drinks, stringing our own hammocks and carrying our own chocolate! _________________ ~Tracy

I have been trying to figure out a way to make ice cream with liquid nitrogen in the back country. Small flask of liquid nitrogen (a cyrogenic) is easy enough, its the cream thats the problem (keeping it cold). |

Would frozen fruit bars do? A couple of weeks ago we hiked frozen strawberry and peach fruit bars to Phantom Ranch--the temps were 105 that day. I packed them in a small soft side cooler with dry ice and used everything else in the pack to provide more insulation. They were a treat for our river folks. I did the same thing last spring at Cottonwood camp down there with 4 pints of fancy ice cream but the temps were cooler then. Anyway, it works. _________________ Shikekeh hozhoogo naasha.
