I know a group planning this barely organized trip for Saturdy of MLK weekend, and plan to go along. Anyone else? 16 miles, 4500' EC. |

Do you know what day they are actually planning on making the hike? I would love to do it, but I have to work that Saturday. |

That sounds great, but it sure smells like snow to me.

Hey Shawn, I'll see you there... It's a fun hike, this'll be the third (or fourth?) time I've done it with this crazy group..

Just for a little ways on top. The first time I did the canyon it was in the snow. |

Some snow sounds fun, ck1 has a tale about coming out in hip-deep snow in April. I'll have to pass though, my schedule won't allow it.

My first time in the canyon, I came out in a snowstorm, too. It was actually a lot of fun! But, the fire at B.A. Lodge was a very welcome sight, too!! _________________ [/size] |

Rim to rim is one of my goals for this year, but it's gonna have to be after the snow's gone. Maybe late April or early May. _________________ John Richardson and Richie Rich, El Perro de Playero

I do a rim-rim to "rage against the age" on my birthday. Two years in a row, and I have reservations at the North Rim Lodge for the third. We'll see how long I can keep it up. I was feeling pretty proud of myself till someone I know said they do Rim-rim-rim. |

It was one of my goals last year - but things happened and I didn't get to go (you know, small stuff like unemployment, re-employment, that kind of thing...).

Is the canyon hike a continious push like squaw or flatiron?
It would probably kill me |
