I have found an inexpensive and comparible coffee press that is cheaper than GSI's and works just as well. Also seems to be just as tough. Check out the site for 2 sizes:

I figure shipping to be 4.90, so from 12.95 you pay a whopping $8.05 for a neat little machine.
Just got mine today, tried it out and like it a lot!
I removed the rubber base and the plastic handle and the whole thing weighs (with a small stuff sack) about 4.15 ounces.
ALSO there is enough room inside to pack a couple servings of grounds, and the big bonus over GSI's version is that this one has a secondary filter in the lid, to avoid "turkish coffee". _________________ http://www.arizonahikers.com/board/albums/albwb18/BRIDGE.sized.jpg
