A friend showed me this website a couple of days ago,

http://www.55water.com/falcons/

Click on the live webcam to see the chicks in the nest.

In short, there's a nesting pair of Peregrine falcons in downtown NYC. They predate on pidgeons and mice and have 3 chicks in the nest.

Too cool George...I just read that after almost going extinct over 20 years ago ,there are over 2000 pairs surviving and mating...looks like these guys prefer the high rent district. Laughing

They roost on ledges of the taller buildings in San Francisco and on the Bay Bridge.

Way cool. I heard about this pair on Paul Harvey.

I had the pleasure and excitement of seeing one a couple of weeks ago down in the Dragoons. By the time I got my camera ready it was to late, but I have a picture in my mind.

Chicago introduced them too, to help control the pidgeon population. I'm with Azheat on this one, they are amazing to see; especially if treated with watching them catch a meal.... chicken
