I agree with desertgirl.....it's affecting my weekend plans.

I'm having to eliminate "non essential" trips to REI! Shocked (fortunately there's a Popular close by when I start to go through withdrawls.... Wink )

I've been carpooling to work since last year since I have a 45 mile RT drive each day. At least I can plan all my stops on the way home from work!

But the price increases are still going to hurt and this is definitely going to affect my weekend plans. I was looking forward to spending many weekends on the Rim but it looks like another hot summer in the Superstitions.

How could you even consider that!? I will give up a lot of things but don't ask me to give up my Starbucks! Unless of course Geno's (my favorite coffee shop of all times from back home in Nebraska) is coming to town then bye bye Starbucks!

Oh! As for my summer plans... I guess I don't really have any major plans that will have to be altered that much.... Hiking as much as possible and since I have to drive quite a ways for each hike I may have to resort to continuing to drive the little car ( which is against every thing I really want to do!) to the easier THs and save the truck for the tougher ones.....

Go figure! I finally buy a truck that is fun to drive and is a little tougher on gas milage and the gas prices go way up!!!!

We're flying to our vacation destinations so gas prices make no difference.

Thank God! Also to drive with a big car on some of the village roads, not to mention parking - Ugh! However, last year when I visited Germany I had rented a brand new Mercedes Diesel, what a ride and the Diesel gave fantastic gas mileage. It was worth the extra$$ I had to pay for the rental. On top of that it had auto-sensors in the bumper, so when I went to park it in these tiny spaces it was almost "dummy" proof Laughing

about 1.10 a liter
so, $4.40 / gallon

thats for the Germans though,

I can buy gas on post for just over $2 a gallon

luckily so, because the bimmer burns quite a bit on the Autobahn
