Following the thought of new gear...any thougths on the the recent Backpacker Gear Guide...I enjoyed the format of this one...with the extensive reviews for each category before the grid of products... |
I thoroughly enjoyed it, it didn't seem like the reviews were enough but did read 'The Complete Walker' in the last year and that kind of spoiled me. Where's my REI dividend?

Some goat musta eaten my REI check too....
I agree with your assessment. I know that there are more companies and more models than ever before; but, they didn't include all the models, just selected ones. Some companies are totally absent. Wonder if this has anything to do wth advertising? |

Good point Randy.
I'm in the middle of a complaint with the BBB. I noticed that they seemed to take the side of the person I was complaining about. I thought that was odd since the BBB is supose to be for the consumer. Come to find out, companies have to pay to be part of the BBB. If they get a few complaints they quit and the BBB no longer gets paid.
PS The Maytag Store is horrible! PM me for details.
Back on topic... always look to see who pays the bills when you take advice. _________________

The REI website says early March....Hmmm, wonder what the gearhound will find to spend his check on??? With my EEEE wide feet, boots are tough to find at REI, and that was one catagory where another pair to break in is always nice...I'll havta ponder it. |
