Blind adventurer, Erik Weihenmayer, transformed the world of mountaineering as he successfully completed his historic quest to conquer the highest summit on each of the seven continents, including his ascent of Mount Everest.

You are invited to attend a motivational session and see the premier of “Farther Than the Eye Can See,” a documentary based on Erik’s record-setting ascent of Mount Everest in 2001.

Last year I attending a view at REI of his movie...it was hosted by his basecamp manager...it was entertaining. I'd like to catch this one, but will have to wait and see.

I understand the guy is quite amazing. Considering I trip over the dog everytime I try to walk to the bathroom in the dark, I'm amazed that he made it through the icefield!

I've probably mentioned this before, but I have a good friend who is good friends with Erik. It is an amazing story, no doubt about that! I can't imagine doing Everest at all, let alone doing it blind!
