WHERE: First Water TH
WHEN: March 6 @ 9 AM
This is a pretty easy 9.5+ mile loop hike in the Western Superstitions and I've traditionally done this one clockwise from Second Water through Garden Valley and up Black Mesa Trail into Boulder Basin. I'm thinking we need to add some zing to it and do it counter-clockwise and go in from the Dutchman #104 through Parker Pass to Boulder Basin and hike up Black Mesa (just for a change of pace). It's about 4 miles in on the Dutchman to Aylor's Camp so this would be a good place for lunch. Then a decent elevation gain and leg workout going up Black Mesa. I'm not sure of the elevation gain from Boulder Basin to the top of Black Mesa so anyone with this info please chime in. I know it's a decent climb.
FYI $4 fee at FW Trailhead
Found a great place for Post-hike and y'all should love this! Red, White & Brew on McDowell & Power Road. Excellent food and great beer.

Someone really should plan Clear Creek. Preferably West, upper to lower. Or upper trail out and back. |

Yes... SOMEONE (hint, hint!!) most definitely should!!
P.S. I'm still in for this one, too. Dave will join us for the after-hike festivities. _________________ Blond, James Blond... double "O", uh oh!!

Oh my, you all know my lack of commitment. What if I planned this all out and then bailed? Who'd fill my shoes? Tom? |

I revised the list.......
Cindy, I added you to the definite list since Sheri is planning on picking you up but if something comes up just let either one of us know.
HOOLI....are you a yes or no? I know you were debating about Rich and the cholla so let me know please. I may have missed a post somewhere.
See y'all Saturday 9AM!
I have room for one more in my car if someone wants a ride from AJ to the trailhead.
