I'm going to take Sadie and make a quick trip up Peralta Trail this afternoon if anyone is around and thinking they are up for a quick trip. I'd love to have some company.
I will be there between 4:00 and 4:15. Bring your headlamp! |

I might see you on the trail. Heading out soon to do a loop; Bluff Springs, Terrapin, Peralta. Plan to do some maintenance on the way so I might pass you on my way back in. _________________ It is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring. -- Carl Sagan |

As you drive in about 6 miles from US 60, look for deer on your left. |

I didn't see George, I didn't see the deer but I did catch the trail in total afternoon shade which was delightful. Passed 2 backpackers going in while I was coming out. The temps are PERFECT for backpacking right now. Also saw what looked like a baby tarantula, and a very confused centepede. The sunset was beautiful and it was good to get a walk in. |

Hi Suz, I guess I did too much trimming. If the backpackers were a tall girl and a guy, with two dogs, I saw them too. There's still a lot of minor work that needs done on the terrapin trail but at least I don't have to crawl through one spot and bypass another. I hit Fremont Saddle about 5:45p. _________________ It is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring. -- Carl Sagan |
