I'd be wondering if he'd go for both the CDT and the AZT over the next couple years.

Way to go Tommy!

Hey folks,

Made it to Canada on Wednesday the 27th, completing the PCT . . . another insane trip of a lifetime. Already, I want to go back. Washington, in particular, blew me away.

I'm in the process of getting the rest of my pictures and journal entries posted. could be a few days.

Hopefully will be back on the Arizona trails sometime in September.

It's a little embarrassing to see those miles that Tim posted from my stat sheet. It is a crazy phenomenon how much your body will naturally adapt to sunrise to sunset hiking. the miles just sort of take care of themselves.

I am DEFINITELY not in the fast hiker category of thru-hikers--typically a 2 to 2 1/2 mph guy. Maybe 3 in perfect trail conditions..

And as for Scott Williamson and Tattoo Joe Kisner, they successfully broke the unassisted PCT speed record that Joe set last year with a time of 71 days and change. Here is my journal entry about meeting them.

http://trailjournals.com/entry.cfm?id=247114

and here is an article about their trek from the san diego newspaper

http://www.signonsandiego.com/uniontrib/20080824/news_1s24outdoors.html

And next on my list --- Arizona Trail, Colorado Trail, and Continental divide Trail. not necessarily in that order..

Congrats Bro'

It was a good time reading your reports along the way.

Sure would like to do that stretch sometime. Not sure the old bod could handle it though.

Welcome "home"...

Just amazing what you've done. Reading your posts but haven't finished all of them yet. Looks like you met some interesting souls along the way and enjoyed the trip. I can't even imagine something like that. What wonderful memories you'll have forever.
Just blows me away to think about it. Glad you're save and sound too.
