It was in the tolerable 80's in Flag this weekend but the evenings were OH SO LOVELY and in the 30's Friday night and mid 40's Saturday night. We got back this afternoon and felt like we walked into a pizza oven.

Mr. Green

Liz and I spent the weekend in Pinetop with friends of ours who have a house there. We went fishing for about 20 minutes yesterday at Rainbow Lake. We caught lots of aquatic vegetation and it was quite warm. We bailed and spent the rest of the day chilling on the front porch of our friends house watching Stellars Jays, hummingbirds, woodpeckers and Hooded Orioles come to the bird feeders and trees around the house. Saturday night was more pleasant than you can imagine.
Today we went to the South Fork Trail and hiked 3 or 4 miles in. It was warm in the sun and I kept dunking my hat in the river to cool off. We spent a nice day in the pines though. We didn't want to come back to Phx.

I'm leaving Weds. a.m. for at least a week in Canyon in the Hoolimobile; just checked the ten day forecast and looks like day time temps in the mid to high 80's! May be the first time I've ever had to use the Hoolimobile's A/C while there. Crazy

Squaw Peak is a ski area outside of Tahoe. I'll take that as a no. 107 by Tahoe is almost unimaginable.

Funny, I have been to Squaw Valley skiing, only time I've been skiing. Awesome place, it's where they had the winter Olympics in 1960.

No I hiked Piestewa Peak (aka: Squaw Peak in my book), it's just a nice little mountain in central phoenix.

All the locals up here are whining because it has been 90 degrees mid-day. Most of them never wear shorts or sandals. Duh, it would feel hot if you are wearing jeans and cowboy boots! It's a lot cooler up higher, of course. I think 90 feels great, and it's a terrible thing to have to waste a life working. Who invented work, anyway? Evil or Very Mad

Why do you need A/C at 80F -- I am confident it will be cooler in the shade - Pull out your canopy & leave the windows open Wink -- just like they did for many 100's of years before the advent of AC!
