I went to Ouray for the weekend to do some snowshoeing. I went with some people that was not into major mountain climbing. They wanted a moderate hike up. We decided to drive over to Telluride to hike up Bridal Veil Falls. From the start of the road, the falls appeared to be complely frozen. As we made our way up we could see that the falls were flowing under the ice on the left falls.
We got about half way up to the top and the road was blocked by a recent avalanche. Our hike was cut short, but we had alot of fun anyway. Before heading back to Ouray we headed up to Airport Mesa to get some views.
Today before leaving we did a small walk up to Cascade Falls in Ouray. It was only about 1/4th mile in. We took some photo's, headed back and drove back to Denver.
I will post photo's when I get some back. I unfortunatly do not have a digital camera. _________________ Mountains are there to be climbed!

I can't wait. I'm going to Ouray in July. South of there, I will be doing a one night backpack from Molas Pass to the Divide. I'll meet the narrow gauge for a photo shoot the first day.
Got pictures? _________________ "Surely all God's people, however serious or savage, great or small, like to play. Whales and elephants, dancing, humming gnats, and invisibly small mischievous microbes - all are warm with divine radium and must have lots of fun in them." John Muir |
