I know the ranch is typically fun to visit in Fall but a group of us K9 Hiker people are going to go in spring because we want to get out, we haven't been there and there is water so it will make it easier to camp.
The plan is set for the last weekend of April, the 26th and 27th.
This is a pretty mellow backpack, total RT mileage is under 14 So if you want to join us please let me know at some point before April 24th.
Thanks |

Hi Mike,
You don't even need trees if you are creative. I have hung between posts in an old corral, between two trucks, and off one tree and one 4x4 post. The only thing that gets a little tricky is when you are hiking with a bunch of tenters and they want to choose a flat rockless spot miles away from the nearest trees. Hahaha!
Best of luck with you set-up. I love mine.

Hi gang,
I tore my ACL in my knee (they orginally said meniscus but after the MRI they belive it's the ACL) anyway I wont be able to hike for a while and that mean the Reavis trip is in danger of not going.
If there are a few of you that still want to go let me know. Some of the K9 hikers from my club were thinking about but they don't have vehicles to get to the TH. Maybe I can get the two groups together so everyone that wants to go can.

Jamie,
Sorry to hear of your torn ACL. That can really hamper your hiking, depending on how bad it is. Hope you are better soon! _________________ ~~~Trish~~~

Ouch - torn ACL - I hear those are painful! Best wishes to a speedy recovery! We'll keep Reavis on the list (I wasn't able to attend this time anyhow!). _________________ Cheers,
