I have a recruiting trip to Nashville early next month. I'll have some free time and was curious if anyone had suggestions on places to go, things to see, places to eat, etc
Opryland type stuff isn't my thing.
Any help would be great. _________________ -Colin

I did this once when I was there......
Jack Daniel Distillery
Come visit the Jack Daniel Distillery in Lynchburg TN, only an hour from Nashville. Enjoy a guided tour where you will learn the complete history of Jack Daniel's whiskey. |

I stayed at the Opriland Hotel but never left the place. It was a hoot in itself. _________________ "Surely all God's people, however serious or savage, great or small, like to play. Colin,
I highly recommend you visit the Hermitage. Deanda and I visited it in 1997. We got to tour the house, garden, and slave quarters. It is a real look into history. _________________ It is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring. -- Carl Sagan |

OH! This looks awesome! When I lived in Virginia we visited Mt Vernon and it was way cool! _________________ ~~~Diane~~~

I'll second the Hermitage. The Parthenon is pretty interesting, too. The Country Music Hall of Fame is cool, but that's coming from a guitar pickin' southern boy, so it may not be your cup of tea. If you want night life, head for Printer's Alley or B.B. King's Blues Club. _________________ [/size] |

Wondering what the status of your trip is given the recent tornados in TN and all across the South. Last night it sure didn't look like they had a handle on all of the loss and damages. |
