I believe we need a disqualification for Susan. I received some intel that She was lobbying for votes, strictly prohibited under Article 91, Rule 8 of the AZH polling law. -TIM- |

Hey, it's important to follow the directions!

And for the record.........no "lurkers" involved in the vote to my knowledge. I'm sure they are not ALL "post-er" children like a few of us (present company included) but they are experienced hikers and contributing members of this site. I'm glad that 44 people felt their opinions mattered. I hope we all continue to include them and help them to feel valued as a part of this community.
I'd like to nonimate SandeJ and the Official Gift Exchange Diva. |

Funny. My brother is in Austin but he's coming here for Christmas. _________________ "Surely all God's people, however serious or savage, great or small, like to play. Lobby for votes? Who, Suz? Nah, never!
So when is the danged thing? Seeing as I DID vote, without benefit of knowing the date! If it's happening in Gold Canyon that means I wouldn't even have to come all the way into your lousy old city! |

Holy moly! It's a darn good thing it didn't end up at my house! There is no way 49 people would fit in my house! If all voters come out to the party we are gonna have a great time! There's got to be several people in there I haven't met yet so I too am looking forward to seeing every one!
SandeJ did an awesome job last year I second the nomination! What was the limit that we set last year for spending? $25? Oh this is gonna be fun specially if people get brave and steal presents! And Tracy, you are right, the potential for a ton of yummy food is over whelming!
Come on every one! Let's party! _________________ ~~~Diane~~~

SandeJ - Official Gift Exchange Diva - Please post the rules and guidelines so we can shop
BTW, do we want to consider a pre-party hike in the AM to build up an appetite ? We are right by the Supes and its winter after all .... _________________ Photos: http://www.pbase.com/desertgirl/galleries

Cool...sounds good! I will post a seperate thread for the gift exchange soon. For those of you who have not attended our Christmas party in the past, it is a great time and a wonderful way to celebrate another successful year of adventuring!
And the food is always spectacular.....
Cheers,

Hey here are a couple of ideas for those that are concerned about the drive.
1.Motorhome parking is allowed for a short period of time. Hooli bring Rich and park out front or across the street. Invitation is also open to others that have motorhomes. We'll eat leftovers for breakfast on Sunday and hit the hot tub with coffee and a bonfire for sunrise!
2. One spare bed plus a couple of couches open and available by request.
3. The mountain behind my house is perfect for camping. You can pitch a tent in the backyard (I promise to shut the sprinklers off), you could jump the fence and set up camp in the desert or backpack up about 1/4 mile to set up.....actually pretty nice up there. |
