Mars rises a little after midnight this week, just a smidge north of due east. Here is a good site to check out what's in the sky and when & where. Put in your zip code, and select the date and time. You can change the direction of view at the bottom of the image. _________________ [/size] |

I just went out and looked at it, too. We have a very dark sky here, so planets look very bright, plus you can usually see the Milky Way from my yard, too--not this morning, though. I don't remember ever seeing a planet looking so large!
