That's Katie! She wore flip flops to all her formal dances in high school as well. She lives in her flip flops! I would have been surprised if she had worn anything else! Besides, it's a beach! Ya have to wear flip flops!!!! They are in Honolulu. Let's see can I spell that ....Oahu?
Thank you all for the kind words...The small beach wedding was in lue of the huge wedding they had planned down in Tucson. I got very little warning that it was happening and Luis was in charge of the arrangements! Well, being a guy he didn't think about the flowers so his mom and I went out on Labor day (the day of the wedding) and found a tiny little florist who had been open for business only three days that let us come in and design a bouquet for her and they put it together for us. I feel they turned out absolutely beautiful and fitting for the wedding they had! Simple just like she wanted. It was a beautiful ceremony partly in English partly in Hawaiian. It was very beautiful and a day they will remember with tenderness for the rest of their lives!
I left in the evening of the next day so as not to hang out with them on their honeymoon for too long! I teased Katie as she grew up, I always told her that I would be going with her on her honeymoon just to make sure she was OK! Well, there I was, with them on their honeymoon! Who knew that one day that teasing would actually come to fruition! Such a lovely day for such a wonderful couple! I pray that they keep the Lord in the center of their relationship and are happy forever together! _________________ ~~~Diane~~~

Wowsers! They had a lovely wedding, and you have a very beautiful daughter Diane (don't tell Mary or she will put me in an armlock...again). We got married on the beach too. I'm sure they will be happy for a very long time, you did a wonderful job bringing her up. Hey, the horizon is tilted
She does possess some classic beauty. The mother has a classic cuteness that has not been equaled yet though. You both rock. _________________ Seize from every moment its unique novelty and do not prepare your joys

I'm not sure how that happened must have been a shift in the moons pull at that very moment..... that is the only explanation I can come up with! _________________ ~~~Diane~~~

Don't feel so bad. I had to buy a double axis bubble level to fix that problem in my shots. It has worked wonders. _________________ Seize from every moment its unique novelty and do not prepare your joys

The problem is that the camera was calibrated for this (Arizona) latitude, so when it was taken to the equator it was naturally off axis a bit..... right? _________________ The world is older and bigger than we are. This is a hard truth for some folks to swallow. —EDWARD ABBEY |

Right! If the wedding had been in Australia they'd have been standing on their heads _________________ John Richardson and Richie Rich, El Perro de Playero

The apple certainly didn't fall far from the tree in this case! Congratulations on raising such a beautiful young woman. Best wishes to her as she starts a new chapter in her life. |
