Another sad day on Half Dome

Another hiker fell from the cables on Half Dome this past weekend. That is very rare when the cables are up. It sounds like he was wearing a larger backpack and the momentum pulled him off the cable when he lost his footing. Very sad.

Richie Rich was named after Rich Mullins by the breeders son. Richie Rich was born in 1997 shortly after Rich Mullins' death; his registered name is: Ch. Clemyrs Adieu to Mullins. Rich was given to me by the breeders in 2003 after I lost four of my dogs, three to cancer and one hit and killed by a truck at a rest stop in Idaho, over the previous twelve months.

Well that explains why he is so articulate in an artistic fashion!

Sorry to hear about your other dogs, however. It's like losing a family member, and four in twelve months is way too much heart ache.

I heard about the accident yesterday, think someone might have said that he dropped his water bottle and bent over to get it. He was one of a group of 5 Japanese tourist.
