!!!!!!!!
Shocked Shocked Shocked
!!!!!!!!

Why ME? Why must they bother me? 2 in the last week. One little tiny one in the bathroom on the floor with me---he was kind enough to wait while I returned with a SHOE and then one a few minutes ago in the CLOSET....in my clothes! And he ran...............FAST!! but I got him with a flip-flop. And why is it that I always find them when I'm not wearing shoes?

They are a niiiiiiiiiiightmare.........I've gone a few years without seeing any and now they are popping up more than necessary. I hate them, I hate them, I hate them!!!!!!!! I scream every time I see one.......you would think they would learn this is not a good place for them.

Is anyone else having a scorpion issue besides me???????????

I've been stung three times, the last one stung me twice and I didn't get to kill him, a fact with which I am having issues. The exterminator comes every few months, which kills their food, not them. But I see them frequently, less often since I painted the walls a color close to their color.

I read where spreading a line of diatamacious earth around the perimiter of your house will kill the little suckers. Haven't seen one in the house since I started trying it, about 6 months ago. Used to see them more often than that around here in tukee.

I've only had a couple of scorpions in my house but then I have "el gatito" that usually kills them for us Laughing Who said a cat had to be a mouser?

Get a black light and look around the place at night. Look close, the females may have little ones on the back.

Check the walls and ceiling, the bark scorpion likes to climb.

Ive got them too Suz. All the scorpions Ive seen inside were the Stripetail variety. I have only seen one Bark scorpion in my 29 years of AZ livin'.
the Bark scorpion can be recognized by an unusual long and thin tail and pincers.
if that doesnt work, they sound sort of like a Chihuahua.

I just keep my house at 64 degrees, they don't like that at all...

Yeah - get a cat! I used to live in a little old ranch house in Gilbert which I refer to as the "scorpion shack" - they were everywhere! But my two cats at the time took care of them happily. Anyone know if it's true that cats are immune, or are they just fast enough not to get stung?

Brrr!

One stung my son in his bed when he was about 10. I was awakened at 3 a.m. by his screaming. I called 911. The firemen and paramedics came, great big tall hunky guys all crowding into the living room of my Tucson mobile home. That in itself was memorable! My son was ok, and we found the nasty little bugger in his room later that day and whacked it. He didn't want to sleep in his bed for quite awhile after that.
