I'm planning on hiking the Go John/Overton trails in Cave Creek Recreation Area this saturday morning, 11/8. Mrs Mike has to work that morning at 8:30. Her office is near the park, so I'm dropping her off, then heading over to the park. These two trails combine to form a loop of about 6 miles. I have a 4 hour hiking window before I have to pick her up, so if there's time, I may do a double.

Anyone who's interested is welcome to join me. If you want to save on the entrance fee, you can meet me and park near my wife's office. Shoot me a pm, I'll give you directions.

Any takers?

I'll be there. Don't all of you make us hike together alone.

I'd love to be there - but I'm in Vegas this Saturday.

Let us know how the GC goes.
Hope you move down and up the GC like Sid which means 2 hours down and just over 3 hours up SK. (just over 6 miles down SK to river)
If you leave early you can even be home for dinner in Phx. (a long day but try it sometime for fun)

And if you are really crazy hike to the top of Humphreys on the way home.

I've read about true crazy hikers who dayhike SK & summit Mt Humphreys in a single day--maybe something for your next EPIC Idea

I wish I could go but I have to work. Calling in sick sounds really tempting.
