For Mothers Day my wife and I decided to head up to Boulder to do some hiking. Since she is in her 2nd trimester, she has gained some of her strength back. THey say it's the best trimester, and so far it's proving to be true.
We went to Chitaqua park and went to see where our feet would take us. Everything there was so vivrently green and there were catapiller nests everywhere. We decided to hike to the top of the Flatirons. This was quite a feet considering she has not gone hiking in quite a while. The elevation gain was about 1,400 feet up, and proved to be fairly steep. Once we reached the top we could see the Front Range/indian Peaks and Rocky Mountain NP. The mountains were coated in snow. It was quite a site seeing snow capped mountains above the emerald green mountains. We went in the afternoon when the clouds have come out, so we were not being blasted by the hot sun. We got sprinkeled on once briefly. We could not have picked a better day. My only regret is that I forgot my Camera... frying pan

I didn't know y'all were expecting! Congratulations! The baby is due in October??? Not that I'm biased on that month or anything Laughing

Sounds like a great way to spend Mother's (and Mother's to be) Day. I hope the rest of this trimester and the third one are smooth sailing.
