Welcome Jody!!
Agreeing w/ everyone else, temperature/weather in the Superstitions is usually perfect during that time of year.
Although I must warn you that the Superstition Wilderness is more than 160,000 acres. That being said, the Eastern Supes are much different from the Western Supes. The Eastern side is less traveled, more remote, thicker vegetation, and there can be snow knee-deep (personal experience talking), where the Western side (at the exact same time), can be 60 degrees and sunny, more populated, and less cat-claw!!
If you have any questions or would like some hiking company, this is definitely the place to come. |
Yeah what she said!

Almost forgot.... yeah, what she said, especially if your hiking partners are aliens , and they leave you behind on a mountain top, all wet and cold in the snow, and lonely, crying all by yourself!!
But Heat did come back for me, and they put up w/ my whining all darn day on into the night .... so who could blame them, really?! Not me, that's for sure!! _________________ Blond, James Blond... double "O", uh oh!!

Man, oh man.... how the stories twist and turn over time!! LOL...
It was Prickly Pear, it was the upper, front of my thigh, and he lent me his tweezers so I could extract the spines myself!! LOL.... _________________ Blond, James Blond... double "O", uh oh!!

Quite right, quite right. I guess I am remembering wrong about some sort of purple clothing as well.....perhaps a bit of lace? No? Okay I am going to shut up now. _________________ Seize from every moment its unique novelty and do not prepare your joys

To my knowledge, everyone in the hiking party turned their backs toward me... I can't confirm any peeking as I was too busy w/ the cactus spines. But there was only one way to get to the spines on my upper thigh, and that involved some clothing removal. But no one assisted me at any time. And I prefer to remember Heat as a gentleman!! There were jokes of purple lacey things, but I think it just made the story even more "colorful".......... _________________ Blond, James Blond... double "O", uh oh!!

Art Bell is that guy from Parumph, Nevada who does the late night talkshow dealing with supernatural stuff. The show is called Coast To Coast AM. I used to listen in occasionally when I did janitorial work years ago. |

My Grandmother listens to that show! I knew the name seemed familiar to me. _________________ Blond, James Blond... double "O", uh oh!!
