A very dear friend of mine who spends time here on our site in a very quiet manner has shared something with me that I know you will all appreciate in the way he intended it.
Mark is a hiker like the rest of us and a very talented photographer as well as a man with insight! He created this slide show to share. As he pointed out previously, all but two photos in this set are of the Sierras.... watch and see which ones are from our playground I know you will all recognize them. I did immediately!
Listen to the words.... feel them, they are us!

OK, don't give up on this. I will get Mark to fix the link and make it work. You all have to see this! Watch for the trail with imagination! It is my favorite in the whole slide show! _________________ ~~~Diane~~~

Well I just walked off my job and I'm headed for the trails. Y'all take care of the site. If Mickey calls, you don't know where I am.
Seriously though, that was a truly touching set, especially with the music. I know even without meeting him that I really like Mark now.

Loved it! My parents and I used to camp in the sierras below Sonora pass ever August for my mom's B-day. After we lost my mom, my dad and I continued the tradition. Their ashes are scattered near a spring fed waterfall that feeds into the Stanislaus River. _________________ John Richardson and Richie Rich, El Perro de Playero

Heck, I'm headed for the Sierras. That was good.
Diane, what did you see in there from AZ? I guess I missed it. |

Right now, the high Sierras are probably 15' deep in snow. Even lower Sierras have 4' or more. Last I heard, Miwok Village at about 5,000'
had just received 4' of snow in less than a week and this was in late Feb. _________________ John Richardson and Richie Rich, El Perro de Playero
