Keep it rock baby Twisted Evil

I only have one problem with this story, it should have ended with a better beer than Coors Light. Laughing

Beer From me to you with some Rogue "Santa's Private Reserve"

Well done sucka

Oh I kept it rockin' sucka! I had some Atreyu and 7dust in there for ya!

Yeah the Coors Light was due to poor logistics on my behalf. Next time I'll keep a better one on standby. Smile

Sheesh. I was already hurting by the time I got to mile 20, which made me very annoyed because it was only 20 miles and I already felt like crap.

Dude! You were annoyed to be hurting at 20 miles?! Shocked I wish I could say that! Awesome job man! This was a very inspirational story!

JC sorry I missed you at the OLD PUEBLO, didn't know you were running it.

I may have saw you and not even known it.

I was the dude with trekking poles if you happened to see me. What an awesome time.

That moonrise was among the most awesome I have ever seen.

Took me about 13 hours again this year. Glad you know what they are all about now. That elevation is brutal.

I didn't know you were there either!

I do remember seeing trekking poles actually, right during the start.

Yeah that is a tough course. I have no desire to even try Zane Grey.....

I don't believe that race exists anymore.

Yeah, thankfully I felt better around mile 25.....

I'm thinking about it, because I want to do a 100 miler in OCT.

I was happy with my recovery after the OLD PUEBLO, had some quad pain from running all the down hill, yesterday, but pretty much good as new today.

Duane should have the results up soon.

Yep, me too. A little soreness but no blisters or anything for me either.

I want to do a 100 too, but I'm not in any hurry. I'm gonna tweak my training now that I've learned from OP. I'm gonna start doing some barefoot running to strengthen my feet and start hill intervals as well.

Go get 'em you animal!

Great job JC and Arizonaheat !!!

I was there, too, supporting my Dad. Little did I know how much he would need it. When he hit the 40 mile aid station he was mentally out of the race. He was trying to drop out of the race because he had, "lost the spark" to finish. Luckily, there was a gentlemen at the aid station that knew my dad and he told my Dad, "You can't quit !!! You will hate yourself tomorrow for quitting." Even after that pep talk, my Dad still didn't have the desire to finish and I told him he can't quit because he only had ten miles left. I told him that we (my boyfriend and I) would walk with him to the next aid station, which was at mile 46, and he could decide then depending on how he felt. I knew once he got to the 46 mile aid station he would finish because he would only have 4 miles to go. So he agreed, and he grabbed a cup of the wonderful soup that JC was talking about and we took off. eventually, his spirits started to lift and we got him to the next aid station in a 1 hour and 50 mins. My boyfriend decide to continue on with my Dad for the last 4 miles and I drove back to the finish line with my Mom. My Dad was able to finish the race just as the moon was rising. He said it was a long 4 miles : )

JC, I knew you were running and I looked for you. I thought I would see you at the 25 mile mark and I stayed, even after my Dad had gone through, hoping to surprise you and cheer you on. I'm bummed that I didn't get to see you but I'm so proud of you for finishing. It was a tough race on a cold and windy day.

Again, great job!!!!

Serious Kudos JC! Amazing accomplishment and incredible commitment, not just for the race but for the training to realize it. My hat is off to you for your efforts and the results. Lots for you to be proud of, being in the ever shrinking ranks (anybody can do a marathon, right?) of the elite few that can survive that kind of ordeal (OK, now go do another one... without resting..). Wow! Congrats, dude!!!
