Anybody been up north to notice if the leaves are changing yet?

The Chiricahua Crest Trail and Sycamore Canyon near Nogales are both starting to look good. I highly recommend Sycamore Canyon in the fall BTW. It is one of the best hikes in Arizona in my book, and is good for getting a final canyoneering fix in before the season ends.

From the Sunrise Ski webcam at 9,000+ ft in NE AZ it looks like the leaves are changing.

I went to Colorado the 3rd week of Sept. and the trees were brilliant. I went at the prime of the season. There were so many colors it was intense.

I just spent the weekend up around San Francisco Peaks, where the colors are still going strong. We headed back home (Mesa) via Payson where it has not really started changing yet. I would say there is still a good week or two left for the best Fall Colors.
