I'm SO glad you made it out to the Valley of Fire, IGO.
SEE!! This is why I mentioned this place during the 2007 GHOTM discussion as a possible weekend event in NV. Dave and I simply fell in love with the area. We explored a little, but definitely not enough. It's a gorgeous place!! _________________ Blond, James Blond... double "O", uh oh!!

Ah. I knew I'd read somebody mentioning this recently.
I'm going back Sunday.
You know, the great thing about it is I get to leave my house, drive straight up fabulous North Shore road all the way to Valley of Fire. 1 red light in 60 miles. North Shore is all within Lake Mead National Recreation Area. I'll the luckiest hiker on the planet. It's the only way I can work 60+ hours a week and still get in at least one full day hiking every week. _________________ "Surely all God's people, however serious or savage, great or small, like to play.
