Recently went to Colorado to knock out some 14er's. Can't seem to get the gallery to work so I thought I'd host a few teasers and post up.

1st up: Redcloud

Next day: Handies

3 sore days later: Sneffels Thought we might get rained off on this one but we eventually popped up through the clouds. Had to skip Wetterhorn due to soreness... Maybe next time

You guys really need to quit posting this type of thing. You know I only get so many vacation weeks a year. Not to mention free passes from the wife.

Very Cool Mike!

Nothing better than a Colorado 14er in July or August. Great pics. I did Elbert and Massive last year and Longs Peak this year. I plan to do more next July. Thanks for sharing.

You've picked some really nice 14ers to do. Those are some really nice shots. To bad you had to back down on Wetterhorn, that one is really fun. When you go back to do that one you have to do Uncompahgre as well. The thirteener, Matterhorn is also worth doing.
Did wetterhorn, Uncompahgre, Redcloud and Sunshine peak in 2003.
Sounds like you had a great trip!

Haven't climbed any 14ers since I moved here 2 years ago, but am in trainging to do Mount of the Holy Cross in September.

It's possible to do mounts Democrat, Lincoln and Bross in one dayhike. This gal did it on August 5, 2006.

You might want to read her write-up on Holy Cross she did in 2001. Also she teaches a course and is Director of someting or other. Just looking at the picture I can tell it would be good to take a course from her.

Yeah, I'll have to get back for Wetterhorn. Also kinda pissed that I didn't do Sunshine while I was up on Redcloud, but thats another story.

Due to poor planning on my part, we got to Lake City late... too late to get any food. So next day it's Redcloud with no dinner, no breakfast, and fortunately got a cup of coffee on the way out of town, and only about 6hrs to acclimate and 5hrs(minus) of sleep. So I was pretty cooked at the top of Redcloud. Still... thought about it when I looked over at Sunshine, but I figured I had already pushed my luck far enough for 1 day.

So yeah, another trip will have to be made. Thanks for all the pic compliments everyone.
