I went hiking a few days back (I'm a wannabe hiker, not really a hiker) because I woke up early 5am, and it had rained most of the day before so I knew it wouldn't be too hot (for me). I saw a javalena (forgive any misspelled words) about 10 minutes into the hike. I waited for a minute as he drifted off the path. On the way back I heard and then saw him and is companion again, about 2 seconds later, I saw a doe, about 15 feet from me just looking at me. I told her how beautiful she was, as is required when one see a beauty, and then took about 2 steps forward and saw a jack rabbit loping away. It started to sprinkle and then light rain, a full rainbow, faint but full, adorned the sky as I reached about 5 minutes before reaching the parking lot. I think they were all there for me to encourage me to hike but I am too lazy right now. I'm hoping as the weather cools, I may get my butt out of bed early enough to make it comfortable for me. I start a job soon that will have me working nights. I don’t' know the hours yet but I'm hoping I get off at 4am - 5am so I can then just go straight to hiking. I don't know why I'm dumping all this personal crap - in a weird mood today.

I hate to argue, but it sounds like you're a hiker to me. _________________ -Colin

A hiker in deed! A hiker who can truely enjoy the gifts presented to those who are willing to go out and find them.... Isn't it sad how many people miss out on these gifts..... _________________ ~~~Diane~~~

I wouldn't concider it "dumping personal crap" at all. Your just sharing your experiances, which is what this web sight is all about.
Sounds like you had a good time, where did you go? _________________ Mountains are there to be climbed!
