Hike this Saturday, August 23rd

I haven't done any serious hiking lately and I have a couple of backpacking trips coming up so I need to get the legs whipped into shape. So I am planning on starting my infamous Quartz Ridge Trail/Route 51 Circumference Trail modified loop this Saturday morning at 6:00 AM.

We start at the 32nd St. and Lincoln parking lot, head west on Quartz Ridge, and around the Circumference Trail and back for seven miles of butt kicking hills. Ask anyone who's hiked it and they'll tell you it's not real easy but it's a great trail. You will see parts of Route 51 Park most people never see and learn a great hike while you're at it.
I'm not in for speed, just a good steady-paced workout that lasts about three hours. Maybe breakfast afterwards.

I know everyone is stiff with the gas thing lately and if I'm there solo, that's cool.

I'll probably repeat it Sunday afternoon as well.

I may be in Todd. A buddy of mine wants to hit a trail with me, and I was thinking Horton Springs (he's not very experienced at hiking) - but I may talk him out of it and hit the trail with you. I'm dying for a good burner.
