I've been putting the finishing touches on an articles section for the site, an area where members can write on various outdoors related subjects. The articles would be organized under various categories, so before we roll this out, I'd like to get some suggestions from everyone for the categories to include. We can always add more, or drop ones that don't get any contributions after a time. So let's hear your ideas!! I hope to have this up and running sometime next week.
Thanks!

I'm bad at wording this but how about a section where members give tips such as:
Tips from experienced hikers to new hikers.
Or
Hiking 101 from experienced members.
Or
Everything you need to know that books didn't tell you.
Or
A Mentor forum where experienced hikers are willing to be contacted regarding a topic they are experienced in.

In my cute blonde voice,
"Ooooohhhh is that where we can find out how to handle a hangover?"
"Or how to handle an encounter when we wake up and don't know who is sleeping next to us??"
Bet this topic will be the most "hit on"! (gotta love puns)

How about topics such as...
Bear Encounters
Boots
Gear Checklist
Grand Canyon for Beginners
Hiking with your Dog
Jackets
Snake Encounters
Trail Etiquette
Trail Running Shoes
I suggest those mainly because I've already written the articles... _________________ -Colin

Colin helped me with my first Canyon trip last year. I'd recommend him for information on close to anything outdoors.
