Fire restrictions have been implemented on the Apache-Sitgreaves, Coconino and Tonto National Forests, starting two days ago. See your local paper or call the Forest Service for specifics. Campfires are not disallowed in all areas. On the Tonto they are restricted north of FR 64 (control Rd.) So this does not include Superstition or Mazatzal Wilderness areas.

Also, Promontory Butte on the A-S Forest is completely closed to public entry, due to high fire danger and the lack of a safe route of travel in the event a wildfire starts. This area is north of Chris Creek and west of Woods Canyon Lake.
