I passed by Charlebois Spring on January 13. There was plenty of water there then and I am sure there still is. Another good option is to go to LaBarge Spring. There was also plenty of water flowing there as well, and I personally think this area is a nicer spot to camp at. I especially like to camp on the bench above the river bed. It's a nice shady spot. Lots of poison ivy near the spring though. _________________ I never saw an ugly thing in my life: for let the form of an object be what it may - light, shade, and perspective will always make it beautiful.

2 weeks ago, gobs of the good stuff.
Head up above the horse trough another 1/8 mi. to the actual spring, Mike.
Also, you guys might want to consider one/all of these short side trips.
1) Top of Aylor's Arch
2) Black Mesa
3) Lower Needle Canyon - the section between Boulder Canyon & the Bull Pass Trail. (this one you could do as an alternate to going over Bull Pass)
There is a nice camp about 1/2 way between Charlebois & LaBarge, too.
(I call it the holly bush camp, but I doubt it's really holly)

Good to hear, esp. after our ongoing drought problems. _________________ But let the mind beware, that though the flesh be bugged, the circumstances of existence are pretty glorious

Not that I saw. That is unless you go First Water to Second Water (water @ Second Water) and then up Boulder Canyon to the Dutchman.
Heck, it's just, what, 7-8 miles to Charlebois on the Dutchman anyhoo....
