seriously, IGO I was going to mention that the MH packages are re-usable for hiking. You "recycle" the things by rehydrating food you have done at home and storebought and they last a good few times. Think of this: you cooked a fantastic Lasagna and while youre at the campsite one of your thoughtful hiking buddies brought a dutch oven. So you turn it to low and re-heat your mama's recipe lasagna (of course you only bring enough for yourself-weight considerations and all) and then you mooch from said friend a large piece of that german chocolate cake he just baked right before he ran out of fuel _________________ http://www.arizonahikers.com/board/albums/albwb18/BRIDGE.sized.jpg

Well, glad to hear I'm not the only one mooching food! (That's what I get for not liking to cook, I have to grovel and beg!) |

I was a little more concerned with how much packaging is going into the landfill than is going into a backpack. _________________ "Surely all God's people, however serious or savage, great or small, like to play. That's the best plan yet. _________________ "Surely all God's people, however serious or savage, great or small, like to play. Whales and elephants, dancing, humming gnats, and invisibly small mischievous microbes - all are warm with divine radium and must have lots of fun in them." John Muir |
