Tonto Narrows

Camped near the Narrows this weekend. Water was cold but flowing perfectly. The rocky areas around the Narrows are a mess from many plastic bottles, cans and random junk being left. Filled the bottom of my pack with junk, tyed the bag on the pack but still lots of trash left. You've been forewarned. Some friends and I cleaned this area last Spetember but unfortunately it's trashed again which sucks cuz there is a huge trash can at the TH; where people started carrying their junk from in the first place... Anyway--the stars were out sporadically thanks to the effects of some wispy clouds. Saw three shooting stars and a few satelites. Didn't see any large animals just some lizards, ground squirels and a couple of jack rabbits. Filtered water through the PUR Hiker--no ah, troubles there....Did I mention the water is COLD!!!
