Anyone camp/tour using a bicycle ? I am planning on a trip this weekend near Woods Canyon Lake. I use a Giant Yukon bicycle with a Avenir rack and pannier. I have been riding from home to Canyon Lake and camped at the marina campground and from Deadhorse State Park. I would apreciate any tips or suggestions, including comments on the use of a trailer. |

Nighthiker-
I've used a 'Yak' Trailer from BOB (Beast Of Burden) Trailers. on a bike trip to the White Rim Trail in Moab last year.

The trailer really alters the performance of my bike but it creates a lot more storage space and keeps your gear off your back if you were to use a pack. I probably packed about 65 lbs. in the dang thing and had room for more. I borrowed one from a friend of mine and I'm not sure if anybody local rents 'em. They are available for rent from a couple of local bike shops in Moab, but that's not going to help you here. Sorry. Good luck tho and let us know how it goes.
