Throwing this out on the table for discussion. The past two years we have set up camp at Ft. Tuthill. Should we move it? Getting ready to post the event soon.

I was kicking around the idea of setting up camp around Hart Prairie this year.

Any comments and/or other ideas?

I agree, but then poor Hooligan will have to rough it this year.

I think I might just be able to make this one afterall. If so I would definitely vote for something by Harts Prarie. Hooli got the Hooli-mobile back there before.

I would suggest that we get something closer to the starting point than further away. Wasn't there numerous camping sites along the FRs on the way in to the drop off?

Anyone want to do a scouting trip?

Very good idea GTG. I remember quite a few places along that route. Maybe not so far in though. That would make for a long trip back to camp after the day.

Scouting trip eh? What do you have in mind? Maybe an overnighter next weekend?

I would love to but I can't. Maybe the following weekend we go up for a day. Sunday maybe?

I've heard that there are some nice camping spots with a view of Oak Creek Canyon that aren't too far from the starting point...I'll look into it and get back with y'all.

Todd/Tom - I would be interested in a scouting trip Saturday the 23rd. Maybe we could make it an over night/short hike as well?
