Out on the desert the other day I heard cicada's singing for a mate and rain. Monsoons usually arrive around two weeks later.

Thats an interesting tidbit... I didn't know that. Back home they come out in late July & Aug when it is really hot and dry.

I live in complex where there are many large, mature, beautiful trees and as dusk settles this evening, there is a very loud and busy cicada concert! The trees hum with their buzzing and they are everywhere!
