The Calendar and Events forum are now linked. When you add a topic under Events, you will see a set of fields for adding the date, time and duration of the event. This information will automatically transfer to the calendar when you submit your topic. From the Calendar, you can click on an event listed for a date and be taken to that topic in Events. Any registered member can add events. Please note that the only way to add events to the calendar now is by posting a topic for it under Events. Only one event can be added per topic. Up to 5 events can be added per day, but that can be increased if necessary.
Unfortunately, the old calendar was broken by the upgrade we did on saturday. All of the events will need to be readded to the new calendar. If you need any help with information on events you may have posted, just shoot me a pm and I can look the information up in the database. The events listed on the portal page are from the old calendar. That block will be replaced with information from the new calendar in the next day or two.
All you GHOTM leaders go get your events posted ASAP!! _________________ |

Thanks!
Note also... if you've already added a topic for your event, you can just edit the first post to add the date/time and duration. If you leave the time out, the event is posted on the calendar for the entire day. _________________ |

The "Upcoming Events" list on the portal page (http://arizonahikers.com/index.php) is now coming from the new calendar. The links for each event will take you to the Events forum topic for that event. _________________ |

Think he did it pretty early, Tim. What? Ya want him up at 1:00 a.m. working on stuff? _________________ John Richardson and Richie Rich, El Perro de Playero

Actually, I was working on that stuff at 1:00 a.m. I had the day off today, though, so it's ok. _________________ |
