I remember those days, but not fondly.

Makes my back hurt to think about it.

Makes me remember how much money I made as a kid shoveling driveways after school. I remember a few days I pulled in about $80, not bad for a 12 year old kid, it was like winning the lotto. Got to play in the snow plus made some money.

Hank, next time just call Tim to shovel your driveway...he apparently has fond memories of it AND considers it "play"! Wink

I guess I shouldn't tell you guys that I had a lawn mowing business in the summer also. I usually had about 8-10 customers on a weekly basis. Those were the good old days, nothing like being 12 and making $50-100 per week.

OK, this is really starting to annoy me. For a day and a half I have wanted to show some pictures I got of the storm departing my area here, and I cannot get them to show at an acceptable size at all. They are on my photobucket folder here and they are all 734x551 pixels over there, but for some reason, half of them get bumped up to 1468x1101 whenever I preview them on here. Even better, I would like to reduce them a little for display on here, but I have no idea how to do that without deleting them from Photobucket and editing them on the computer here. Help please! Thank you.

Sounds like you're going the hard way Dylan. Just resize them to what you want, then upload them to the AZH gallery.

Done deal.

Thank you HIG. Back months ago I had some trouble with the gallery, and so forgot about it completely! Well the pictures look very different now that they are on my computer, thought they looked the same on my camera as they did on my friend's computer, my TVs, and my friend's new printer, so I think my monitor is dieing. They look darker and granier to me. Can you all let me know how they look to you to either confirm or deny the existance of my alleged monitor problem?

The tail of the storm...

As it hammered North Scottsdale in the east...

And more detail...

The tree of fire... or sunset of the west...

And the last light...

Fades....

Thank you. I love my new camera, I never could have snagged those with anything I owned in the past. So they look fine on your monitor then?

Dylan,

That first picture looks suspiciously like that HUGE black cloud that was hanging over Mesa on my way home from work.

Really GREAT photos Ok

Hehe, well there were a lot of black clouds that day Trish.

Tim, it is a Sony F-828. No tripod involved as the light was changing very, very fast. They were all hand-held, and the little jog dial adjustment of shutter speed was very, very handy along with the live preview and swivel lens to be able to frame, get the settings right, and fire just as each color peaked
